First of all, I am a twin, and proud mother of amazing, twin sons, Taylor and Brent. Additionally, my dad’s brother is a twin. Yes, that’s three consecutive generations of twins! I was born and raised in Palm Beach, Florida. We moved to Colorado in 2009 and “Maui’d” in 2010. Needless to say, I’m excited and honored to be returning home to compete in Jacksonville for the title of your Mrs. International 2015.
Taylor recently graduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in Information Communication and Technology and Dean’s Scholar. Go Noles! Brent is an incredibly talented and accomplished drummer in a band, Cursed Sails, signed by Rise Records. His band tours the United States and has also performed on the critically acclaimed Van’s Warped Tour! My sons are the answer to my prayers and my greatest pride and joy! They are my heart and soul!
My husband, Jeff and I are a true e-Harmony success story! We both tragically lost our spouses. Jeff likes to tell everyone I cyber-stalked him. (Ok honey! Ha!Ha!) On our first (long-distance) face-to-face date, I nervously said, “Wow, you’re even better looking than your profile picture, and buff, “bonus”!” True story! Actually, I truly believe God brought us together to heal one anothers’ heart, and let love in again!
A cornucopia of fun family facts: I’m related to Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. My grandmother, MiMi’s grandfather, is cousin to this famous poet, author and physician. Also, my brilliant Uncle Frank McMahon worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California and actually discovered the 10th planet – Planet X. If you YouTube Mitch Hedberg’s “Dufresne Party of Two”, you’ll see not only a comedic genius; but this ended up being a true life imitating art situation!
