Michele Sharpe
Michele Sharpe is proud to represent the beautiful coastal state of
Mrs.
Michele is very active in her community, volunteering for various local charities and she is a local spokesperson for The Big Brother and Big Sister Organization. Her platform is Youth Mentoring and she recently started a mentoring program in her school, matching high school students with elementary age children. Michele has been involved with mentoring programs for over 18 years. She was born to a teenage mother and was fortunate to have so many wonderful mentors/family that helped guide and protect her growing up. These life experiences inspired Michele to work in the field of education/social services and to be able to give back to children the hope, trust and care she received as a child.
Michele is hearing impaired and wears two hearing aids to hear, she has never let her handicap slow her down. She has been a guest speaker at organizations/ local schools for the deaf and her message is that anything is possible with a little hard work and a lot of determination to be successful. She is currently training/fundraising for a 50 mile bike ride in the fall to benefit the Big Brother and Big Sister Organization.
