Janelle Woods-McNish - Top 15
1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
Self-care is a vital necessity in my life and a habit I wish I put into practice much sooner. As mothers, wives, leaders, volunteers and titleholders we lead very busy lives and it’s important we remember to take care of ourselves while we also take care of others. Today, I am reminded of the saying that you can not pour from an empty cup and now make self-care a key part of my life.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
As a mother, daughter and sister I am deeply concerned about the way young girls are being exploited in the US and Internationally. After meeting a young girl name Nicole, who was the victim of Sex Trafficking, I began my fight to save other girls like her. On this journey I’ve met many survivors and advocates who are also working to end these crimes. They give me hope for a better future for all girls.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
From enjoying mouthwatering chocolate in South Africa to soaking up the warm sun in Puerto Rico I love to travel and enjoy new cultures, food and experiences. My travels have taken me across America and around the world allowing me to marvel in the beauty of every place I visit. With ever trip I collect a new Starbucks mug; it is my guilty pleasure. I am now up to 20 mugs.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
I am in my late-thirties and love everything about this stage of my life. I have had many life experiences that I have grown wiser from, yet I feel young at heart and still believe in “magic”. I can be present and relish in the moment while also looking ahead to make plans for the future. It has been an incredible journey and I cannot wait to see what the next thirty years bring.
